I use the term documentary photographer to describe my work for a few reasons.

It is broad in scope. Literally any kind of photograph could be considered a documentary photo. This is a kind of objective truth about photography.

The other reason, and for the above reason, is that none of the pictures are altered in anyway from what the camera captured. Aside from toning adjustments to give them a more "cinematic" look, what the picture contains physically, is what was there in front of the camera in the moment it was captured.
